Just one panel, alas. I have no idea if the rest of the strip still exists or not. Still, a pre-lawsuit, pre-schism, actual Dirks Katzenjammer Kids is a pretty rare thing. As a result of a lawsuit in 1912 (I believe) Dirks was allowed to leave Hearst's New York Journal and take his characters over to Pulitzer's New York World, but was not allowed to retain the name Katzenjammer Kids, which remained with the Journal. Dirk's strip continued as Hans and Fritz, and later Captain and the Kids. There are plenty of Captain and the Kids, and maybe a few Hans and Fritz strips are out there, but Dirks' Journal Katzenjammers seem to be virtually non-existent. To add to the interest, the back of the panel has a note about showing it to Mr. Hearst, and for some reason, F. Opper's name is written on the top of the panel.
