DescriptionWell, my love for George Perez is no secret. I'd seen this cover on Romitaman site for a bit, but missed out, then Will Gabri-El had it, and we talked for a bit about it, and finally two weeks ago decided to pull the trigger. Kind of somber note to get it on with the news from George. I always like the way George drew The Beast. George gave him more character and more fun as Loveable, furry Hank McCoy kicks up some fun. So unpublished for decades, it eventually was published for Marvel Snapshots #1. I'm very fortunate to have been able to pick up this cover, and thank Will for working out a deal with me on it.Some info on the cover from Will's write up: Lost for a short while during the production process, this unpublished cover to Avengers #178 is highly detailed and with 1970's AVENGERS covers being some of the most valuable and sought after George Peréz artwork, this is a great opportunity to grab a more 'reasonably priced' example while you can! AND in 2020, Marvel Comics decided to publish this fine example as the variant cover to Marvel Snapshots #1, making this a PUBLISHED PERÉZ AVENGERS COVER! Standard size artwork on Bristol board. Sinnott on Perez details made the cover effect of the montage so effective, emphasizing each image with their own line weight.

Outstanding cover shot, and glad it got the cover treatment later - it's deserved! Hard to top for furry Beast fan! Congrats!
