Vampirella meets the equally sultry Maya on this Jose Gonzalez splash from 1979's Vampirella #82. It comes from late in the artist's esteemed run on the Vampirella series.

Jose Gonzalez was one of the main artists to work on the 1970s Vampirella title. He took over Vampirella with #12 and was the primary artist on every issue up to #34. He would continue contributing to the title through the late 1970s. It is reported that Gonzalez produced 53 Vampi Stories in total, making him the most prolific artist on the series.
