DescriptionI can't believe I finally have this in my collection! I've wanted this cover for 25 years! When Marvel relaunched Amazing Spider-Man and Peter Parker Spider-Man for the first time in 1999, I had asked if John Romita Jr. to draw the cover. It's an incredible cover by two legends of our industry.And It's been on John Romita Jr's house since the day it was drawn. This is a GEM in my collection. I want to thank John Romita Jr for selling to me, and to Spencer Beck for helping make it happen. Story: "Power Without Responsibility!" After having given up being Spider-Man (see Spider-Man 98), Peter Parker runs into a new Spider-Man. " ...this new Spider-Man, whoever it is, seems to have things pretty much under control." — Peter Parker Appearing in "Power Without Responsibility!" Such a well-designed and striking piece--minimal but also dense with detail, and gorgeous inks. And the signature! I love that it's signed "The Romitas"--true comic book royalty represented on the page. Congrats on achieving a true grail.

Absolutely phenomenal Peter Parker Spider-Man cover by the Romitas! You've waited a long time for it, but I'm sure it was worth it. The art is superb, to say the least. I love the pose of Spider-Man on the top of a building, rain coming down around him. JrJr has always been great with rain scenes, but this one seems extraordinary. I love the look of the raindrops hitting Spidey, the splatters look so cool. The inks by Romita Sr. really take this piece to another level. The downlight on Spider-Man gives the scene so much drama. Really, you couldn't ask for a more classic or more iconic Spider-Man cover! Congrats on a long-awaited pick-up!
