DescriptionSOLD JULY 2017 FOR $1,359!11x17" thin artboard has pen and ink w/inkwash original art by Gene Colan and Klaus Janson. Art is for page 5 of "Howard The Duck" Vol. 2 #2, which was published by Marvel in magazine format Dec. 1979. Six panel page features Howard bemoaning humans as "Hairless Apes" while his occasional girlfriend Beverly Switzler disrobes (her bare breast is visible in profile, including nipple) and gets in shower. Bev asks Howard to scrub her back, offering brush (outline of her nude body can be seen through shower curtain). Howard obliges, opening curtain as we see water splash off her naked bottom. Howard ends page, stating "This Is True Romance, Toots - - Fifty Percent Fantasy, An' Fifty Percent Frustration." Penciled title/issued number at top margin. Margins have some faint scattered staining at bottom, but art remains clean and Exc. Social/Sharing |
