DescriptionRoger Brand's contribution to the infamous "Nickel Library" project initiated by Gary Arlington, 1971.Arlington planned for 500 pages to be produced by a wide array of artists from underground legends like Kim Deitch and Roger Brand to industry powerhouses like Wally Wood, Jack Kirby and Frank Frazetta. This piece is so amazing, even more so in person. I love how the whole concept plays off of contrasts, even down to the anagram titling. Yin vs. Yang. Dark vs. Light. Vigilante vs. Evangelist. I am glad to see this again, a terrific piece and I agree, Brand is under appreciated.
