Description

This unused Dr Who Annual Endpaper rough by Paul Crompton was sold at an auction site recently, and was stated as being for the 1979 annual as a rough for a comic page from that same edition was listed with it.

However, on winning and acquiring the piece, I found that it is signed 'PAUL CROMPTON 80' under the creature's arm to the left. This would mean it was more likely intended for the Dr Who Annual 1981.

Thanks Ben. I was outbid on the other Paul Crompton piece - a rough of one of the annual strips, quite early on, so I increased my bid for this! :-D

For endpapers, this is plenty detailed and the design gives us plenty to look at and ponder.
