Good morning,
May I ask how you verified this art as being by Martin Asbury, please? I am certain that you are correct, going by the style, but I asked Martin about Worzel Gummidge some time back, and he said he never drew the character for Look-in?
Incidentally, another page from this story is currently on eBay, if you're interested (although they credit it to Mike Noble, which I'm certain is wrong! Definitely NOT his style!

Thanks Ben. I was outbid on the other Paul Crompton piece - a rough of one of the annual strips, quite early on, so I increased my bid for this! :-D
Some information has come to light by a third party source crediting all the art in the Dr Who and the Daleks Omnibus to Ivan Rose, who was a commercial illustrator better known for film posters, and who also did some of the covers for Look-in Magazine.

Interesting. I know Frank Langford did do some American romance comics as I've seen some of the originals. But his style remains recognisable as similar to the Penny On Her Own strip I gave a link to. I'm in touch with someone who is in touch with Jesus Redondo, and hopefully he might confirm the artistry, and perhaps reveal a bit more behind this page?

This isn't an original art though, is it? I've been trying to locate John Bolton originals for Bionic Woman, and this gives the impression you have one when CAF is - at least I thought - about original art?

Is that a mark-up at the bottom of the page saying that this page was going to be in issue '243', which suggests the decision to re-launch 'TV21' from issue 1 again was taken late in the day?
