Nothing says real life drama like folding clothes. Did the stain come out??? Does it smell spring fresh??? How many socks have gone missing ??? I can't wait until you post the following page.

Love the alternating silhouette panels. Looks even better without the colors and word balloons.

The hero is denied because he can't find those big lightbulbs.

A fun and lovely page. Is it just me, or did Wagner use himself as the model for Mage?

Totally.
To quote Wiki:
Mage is an American superhero comic book written and illustrated by Matt Wagner, which he describes as an "allegorical autobiography" in which the hero, Kevin Matchstick, is a stand-in for the author, and "[a]ll the other characters he encounters and situations he endures are metaphors from my own life... told through the lens of a fantasy adventure".

Nice! Thanks, man. I used to like flipping through it back in the 80's, but it's one of the popular indy titles that I never actually read.

Matchstick's laundry must be easy, as he only wears one shirt.
