Hard to imagine any character that Fred hasn't drawn, but I think this is the first Rocketeer I've seen.  Super cool and super fun.  I love it.

Hey, I don't think I've ever seen a Hembeck Rocketeer. Cool!

There's just something about Fred Hembeck's art that makes me smile. He has a way to looking at any character and twisting it in a way that no one else dares. Take the Rocketeer here. The details are all exactly right but there's something so Hembeck-y (Is that a word?) about the drawing. Fred's work is so approachable. One never says, "Gee I wish I could draw as well as Hembeck." No, Fred doesn't make one jealous, he simply makes one smile. Great pick-up, congrats!
