Description

In 1988, I wrote Dave a gushing fan letter along with some of my art samples. To my great shock, he not only wrote me back. But made an offer to have me work on Issue 3?! I was ecstatic, but sadly the work never materialized. I think he probably got cold feet, due to my inexperience. The work instead, went to Stan Manoukian & Vince Roucher, Art Adams, and another friend: Sandy Plunkett. I know that Stan & Vince had a hand in working on the pages I was able to purchase from Albert Moy. But clearly, Dave had a heavy hand in Art Directing every aspect of the artwork. Inking much of the work (I believe), himself..
