Behold ... ENDGAME!

This is one of my favorite Avenger arcs and easily one of my favorite pages in my collection. I was a collector newbie when I won this at auction back in 2018 and I'm just now getting over the heart palpitations that I won it!

Written in 1969 by the legendary Roy Thomas, the Grandmaster recaps his wager with Kang, as the Avengers battle the Squadron Sinister (Marvel's JLA homage/rip-off) in their first appearance. The great half-splash features Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Goliath fighting the Squadron's Hyperion, Dr. Spectrum, Whizzer and Nighthawk -- beautifully choreographed action by the amazing Sal Buscema at his best! In addition, you'll see in the panels below Grandmaster and Black Knight.

Avengers vs Justice League! The landmarks are great backdrops to show how widespread battles across the globe when you connect it to the cover image!

Love the half splash, and the Black Knight in the last two panels is a real bonus! Avengers 69-71 was probably my favorite arc of the first 100 issues.

Those early Sal Avengers issues are fantastic ! Love the Squadron Sinister. But my favourite panel is the last one , great image of one of my favourite B-list Avengers !

Stunning Sal Buscema/Sam Grainger Avengers page! This page is jam-packed with all the ingredients that make for a great Avengers page! Tons of Avengers in battle with multiple villains in a variety of locations worldwide! It's a doozy of an Avengers page! Congrats!
