DescriptionThis stunning page is the other half of my initial purchase from former Wildstorm inker Tom McWeeney, whom I recently came into contact with. Thanks to him I got a great early Travis Charest Voodoo page and this fantastic Campbell DG page. Tom, along with Sandra Hope, Tim Townsend, and Scott Williams, all jumped in to help Alex Garner ink this issue, and after all these years Tom still had a couple of the pages. I chose this one because it has such great shots of Abbey and Secret Agent Zero. The two had just swam into the secret Hammer base to rescue the team and Abbey takes out a guard from above. Any page with Abbey in a bathing suit is a good page, but this has some great Abbey panels. So happy to have it! :)I have always wanted a Danger Girl page of my own but as we all know they don't come up as available very often. But I was a huge Campbell fan from the beginning, when he was doing swimsuit pinups and such as Jeffery Scott after the Wildstorm Talent Search. I absolutely loved his Gen13 run, and when he left the title I was so bummed. But Danger Girl was so much fun, combining the cheesecake ladies Campbell was known for with fun action spy movie plots made for good entertainment for a teenager like me. Even now I just love this fun series, having reread the miniseries again recently. So a huge shout out to Tom McWeeney for helping this Wildstorm nut get 2 amazing classic pieces! Thanks so much, Tom! Social/Sharing |

Wow! DG by Campbell was a feast for the eyes! And McWeeney was my favorite inker of the time, his inks always enhanced the pages!

Danger girl was one of the best action strips of the 90's/00's. A publisher needs to get Campbell back on interiors because he's one of the most dynamic storytellers around.

Fun sequence. Great narrative story-telling. Makes me wish Campbell still worked on full comic issues again. Even moreso than I already do. ;)
Thanks for sharing!

Danger Girl was pure joy and excitement and this page is a wonderful example of that. I miss those Cliffhanger days.
