Description"... I can make it on my own now, Natasha... and so can you."-- Daredevil I've seen this at Art Cons time and again, and kept thinking that I should pick it up, but never pulled the trigger. Then in the Heritage Auction today I wanted to go after the Invaders #3 cover, but my buddy Michael Finn wanted it and I was fine with stepping aside. I think I did ok. The issue before Frank Miller takes over. Not bad, right? Last 35-cent cover price. Cover pencils by Gene Colan, inks by Al Milgrom. The Avengers (Captain America, the Black Widow, the Beast) and Hercules guest star in The Ungrateful Dead, script by Roger McKenzie (plot) and Mary Jo Duffy (script), pencils by Gene Colan (breakdowns) and Klaus Janson (finished art), inks by Klaus Janson; DD and the Avengers ward off Death-Stalker; The Ani-Men wreak havoc in the storefront law office trying to capture Matt; appearances the new Unholy Three (the second Ape Man, the third Bird Man, the third Cat Man). I was watching/participating in the auction today myself. And well I looked at this Dardevil cover also..I ended up going for other things but it is a good cover very nice pick up..

I can see the appeal for acquiring this cover. It is the last one prior to Miller's run. I own the last page of the DD 157 interior story, and it is interesting to look back on it now as this was the end of the old DD stories from the 1970s. Miller would re-birth the DD character and launch him to much greater heights. Congrats on adding this to your collection.
