DescriptionI picked this up from Nir Leavie via Tatiana at TDArt during the most recent Comic Art Live. His examples compelled me to pull the trigger on a commission. A Silver Surfer inspired by the works and subconscious explorations of Salvador Dali. The amount of line work alone is worth it, it darn near makes me cross-eyed if I stare at it for too long. Thank you to Tatiana and Nir.Check out Nir's gallery and commission examples https://www.tdartgallery.com/ArtistCommission.asp?ArtistId=1251 Social/Sharing |

Definitely surreal. Love the multiple figures, depth, and warp-y feel. Inks must look that much better in person. Congrats!

If he keeps on surfin', Levie's goin' be great
If he keeps as Norrin, Levie's goin' to break
When Nir Levie's breaks, I'll have no chance for page
Clean Nir Levie taught me the flesh and bone, Lord
Glean Nir Levie taught me the sweep ink flow
He's drawn what it takes to make a Marvel fan leave his home
Oh well, oh well, oh well
Don't it make surreal bad
When you're surfin' to find your way home
You don't know which way to go?
If they're lookin' for pouch
They got no work to do
If you're stripping down to commando
A-ah, a-ah, a-ah

There is a definite Traad Moore influence in the background. The Sufer figures sequence moving into the final position are a nice take.

Stunning Silver Surfer commission by Nir Leavie! I love his SS here, repeated in multiple positions! And the way he renders the Surfer's chromium-like skin is awesome! Love the trippy background as well! Just a fantastic commission! Congrats!
