Very cool Man-Thing commission by the great Nick Bradshaw.

As much as I�ve loved his art from the very beginning (Army of Darkness anyone?), this is my very first Bradshaw piece.

And while I wasn�t the original commissioner this one fell perfectly into a recent batch of commissions or sketches I have bought featuring Marvel�s swampy planty character.

Color work is rare for Nick and if the pose is not the most dynamic which is also probably the reason the previous owner let it go, I really like the haughty detached plant god approach Nick went with. There is something very calm about the piece and it really suits the character.

Ink,marker and watercolors.

Definitely not my last Bradshaw piece.

Saw this one and was really impressed by the color work...still am! And you're right about the calming effect of the pose. Congrats!
