DescriptionA great splash by the also great Nick Bradshaw from Wolverine & the X-Men.My first (posted) Bradshaw published piece. Wolvie & the kids was probably one of the last X titles I tremendously enjoyed (with X-Force by Remender and the two Bendis titles) these past few years. Mostly due to the fun and inventive Jason Aaron writing and the great art by Bradshaw, Bachalo, McGuinness and other talents. This was one of his last lasting interior gigs before mostly switching to cover artist. If you enjoyed that serie like I did, what’s not to love in this splash? Tons of lil’ Bamfs, Wolvie going all claws on Lord Deathstrike in a very Hong Kong flick like scene with an exceptional perspective and great backgrounds. What a way to pull you right in the story! I must confess he hesitated for 1 or two minutes before contacting the fellow CAFer I bought it from (thanks) as I found the Wolvie pose could have been a tad more dynamic. But I thought that his pose was commensurate with someone who does not care if he is shot or not as he will heal from any wound. I certainly don’t come from the school of more (details on the page) is best but in certain artist’s case, it is a delight because it’s done right and doesn’t deter from the readability of the page. Like Art Adams (his artistic daddy), Nick fits right in in this description (unlike many Image comics artists and artistic spiritual sons). The tattoos on the Bamfs, the wound shots on Wolvie (you can nearly hear the “splutches” of the bullets coming through), etc… The pure pencil are so precise it’s a delight. Social/Sharing |

I have become enamored with Bradshaw's Wolverine. This is an incredible splash (I wanted it, too :) ) with a great action scene. Watch out below! Congrats on a great pick-up

Love this page! There is so much going on in one scene! I have to find the book and see how it ended.

Great piece! Like the perspective and lots of that cartoony detail on display. I too was a big fan of this series. Aaron and Bradshaw just seemed to have FUN with it and it showed in Nick's work. So many unique and wacky environments and characters. Congrats on this - very cool to pick up an interior page from one of his last real runs.
