This piece is titled JULES VERNE SHIP by Chris Foss, 2015 - 90 x 60cm - Acrylic on board

Foss' description for this piece - "The big idea was to have a giant sea serpent coming up and dragging this ship down. And then for a variety of reasons, I changed it to this wrecked spaceship being zapped by a spaceship up in the sky. It's very much influenced by Guernsey - I love looking at the sea and imagining things, and it was inspired by the Vermontborg, a brand new ship that ran aground off the coast in 2003."

I really enjoy the idea that this is what Chris sees when he stares out into the Ocean, a piece that I'm happy to have hanging in my office.
