Description

Destiny made that my first original artwork by Joe Kubert was meant to be an original cover from my favorite childhood comic magazine ; Tarzan.
The Tarzan #242 issue from DC was published in 1975 and came out 2 years after in Denmark.
I remember I was spellbound by this exciting cover when I was only at the age of 11 years in 1977..!

Now - nearly 40 years after seeing the comic magazine of Tarzan #242 for the first time, destiny decided I was able to find and buy the original artwork.
As always Kubert put a lot of action in his fascinating covers. The Tarzan #242 is no exception.

In Bill Schelly's Joe Kubert biography, Man of Rock, Tarzan is cited as Kubert's favorite character in popular literature, and he considered his assignment of drawing Tarzan the assignment of a lifetime.
