DescriptionMartin Simmonds is one of my favorite artists, and I think he will be one of the most influential and important artists of the 2020s. It's obvious he draws inspiration from Bill Sienkiewicz and Dave McKean (and who wouldn't, IF they could). I knew, like Bill, he was also a Gustav Klimt fan, so I requested he marry his style with Klimt for a New Mutants piece and I'm in love with the result.Social/Sharing |

i thought klimt and schiele as soon as i hit it. AWESOME! its really fun to see the influence shine thru.

Love the Sienk vibes of Warlock, in Martin's style. Great piece!

Thanks ML! It's one of my low-key favorites in my collection. I don't think a ton of people cared for the Klimt inspiration, but I think Martin absolutely killed this concept. Martin is one of my favorite active artists. Obligatory, but I'm also very keen on several of your DoT pages, if you ever need to part with any lol.
