DescriptionThis is the 2nd of 2 consecutive pages I picked up from this issue, Ron Lim’s only published work on Daredevil. When I saw these 2 pages up at Romitaman.com, I jumped at ‘em. Click one page to the right to see the page prior.Lotsa nice action panels here with a couple of different head shots. I really like the Daredevil vs. Bengal face to face profiles in the 4th panel followed by a nice silhouette shot of DD kicking in the next. Thanks, Mike, for posting a couple of pieces that really take me back! Also, if anyone has a lead on the cover of this issue, let me know! Social/Sharing |

Really nice work and really nice page from a first appearance (Bengal) with some dark moody inks. Bravo.

This is the 2nd of what may possibly be the best 2 page action sequence of any fill-in issue of all time! The figure movement and fluidity of the storytelling is really superb. The two page sequence reminds me a lot of those quiet action sequences Miller used to do in his run, except there is dialogue here in this one. So great to see these!

Hey thanks for the GREAT comments on these 2 pages, Ruben! Definitely still dig 'em a lot but after reading your comments I've gotten some renewed collector energy :) This book to this day is one of my favorite standalone issues ever. A lot has to do with the the top notch action oriented storytelling you note that Lim applies, and it was really just an emotional origin story for a great new character (and design) in Bengal. Love here how Lim switches from close up to further perspective shots and back - adds BIG to the dramatic factor. Thanks again, man!
