DescriptionMerry Christmas, all! Thought it was an apt day to post these pages featuring this...frosty hero :)I picked up this 4 issue miniseries as a pack when I was a kid (first multi-pack set) and was all about it due to being a fan of the cartoon Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. Good read I'd recommend checking out if you haven't. One of many great Marvel 4 issue minis from the time :) I have a page from issue 2 with Iceman vs that issue's baddie, a splash from the 4th and final issue vs the main villain, and these 2 pages vs the issue 1 bad guys. Just an example from issue 3 left and I'm good. Here the battle is joined, with Bobby changing to Iceman in the 2nd panel and both sides getting licks in over the 2 pages. Pretty cool (pun!) how the right border of the first page has notes about the red/blue/yellow color printing for panels 3 and 4 showing the bad guy's mental powers you can't see in the OA. See additional images for the published version. Overall a fun throwback get for me! Happy holidays! Social/Sharing |

I have never reread that one since I was a kid basically. Congrats on adding more since it clearly means a lot to you.

This is a great Iceman action scene that is literally tearing up the place! I also see wood door casing and rosettes on those interior doors on the second page. How many 80's Marvel interiors have great examples of interior trim options? Only one more to go for the grand slam!

Oh, you got a keen eye, my friend. I was wondering if anyone else would see those rosettes. I mean, reason I got the page but I didn't wanna call out the OBVIOUS in my description.
A man after my own wood workin' (AND knowin;) heart :)
Thanks for the add, T, and all!

A nice consecutive page action sequence, Kahlil! Whether original X-Men or New X-Men, most of us Marvel fans were willing to buy ANY off-shoot mini-series focusing on any team member and this was one of those!

Oh, I hear that, RDC. And those 80s minis in general...so many goodies. Punisher, Wolverine, Machine Man, Iceman, Magik...I could keep goin' but I'll stop there! Thanks for the add!

Great stuff! Love that second panel! And I'm no artist, but I think I could actually duplicate the image in panel 4 ... given enough time.

I did NOT like the choice of Alan Kupperberg on this book when I bought it off the stands in 1984. Any X-Men spinoff, I thought at the time, should have one of Marvels premier artists. However, the art from this series has aged very well since then. Clear, effective storytellinga rarer commodity these days.

AND we have covers by Mike Zeck, maybe my fave artist :) Glad you like, Mark, and thanks for the add!

Some great story telling panel pages. I've had the mini series sitting there unread for years. Will have to dig them out. Congrats!
