DescriptionThe Johnny Comet comic strip started in early 1952, but never seemed to gain a strong following. It lasted about a year, and was immediately followed by Ace McCoy (Johnny changed his name and became a stunt man), but that wasn't enough to save the strip. The stories never got people all that excited, but the artwork? All Frazetta and just beautiful. When I saw this come up for auction, I knew it was my chance to finally add a wonderful Frazetta to my collection. Social/Sharing |

Congratulations on your first. Every panel on this is exquisite, but the combination of zip and Frank's inks on that middle panel really puts a smile on my face.

Gorgeous. I thought that Frank's art got really strong as he progressed closer to the end of this series. That third panel is simply masterful. Congrats Ron!

Seductress all the way through this strip as her beauty mark and raven locks made her more exotic and irresistable. Given so much life by Frazetta's hand.

Top tier Ace McCoy. I wish Frazetta had never moved on from comic and strip art.

Some of Frank's most innovative and energetic work was on his strip! This is a particularly beautiful example, Ron!

Wonderful daily. One of the great strips of the run with three great drawings of the femme fatale.

Especially love the motion in the third panel - nice way to close a gaping gap in your stellar collection!
