DescriptionNEXUS is one of my top all-time favorite comics. And I discovered it on the stands in 1984 with NEXUS #7, which was the first issue under the First Comics banner. I was instantly enthralled, and hunted down all the previous Capital Comics issues immediately. It was Baron/Rude NEXUS and Moore/Bissette/Totleben SAGA OF THE SWAMP THING that led me away from standard mainstream superhero comics, and I've never looked back. My taste in comics was shaped back then, and my OA collection today reflects that.Among NEXUS stories, the Nexus/Badger/Judah team-ups are perhaps the most memorable, and certainly fan-favorites. I once owned the painted NEXUS #1 cover; it's spectacular. But #7 is my #1 and I'm even more excited to own this now. 13"X19". Social/Sharing |

Being from Madison, WI there is a special place in my heart for the Baron/Rude team up; Badger and Nexus. Great cover and great backstory, Felix!

Exceptional Steve Rude cover to the first issue of Nexus I remember reading...and it's got the Badger. What more could you want?

I have yet to read (all of) Nexus but Rude's art was my main incentive for buying a full set years ago.
Congrats on getting such a meaningful cover.

What a great cover! Like you, I remember picking this up on the stands. (Not my first, though close to it — I started with #3 of the regular sized issues from Capital. Not the earlier #3 with the flexi-disc soundtrack! That took a while to track down.) Fun stuff, and congratulations!

Nexus is still my favorite comic series ever. I remember all of the covers from the first series so well, and this is one of my absolute favorites. Plus having The Badger on it only adds to its greatness. I've looked at this cover many, many times since you posted it Felix. One of the best in your stunning collection. Congrats, and thanks for sharing it!
