Choice scenes picked out by Rude to tease the audience! Strange new encounters and a stark panel of peril to appeal to all audiences. As always, the Rude precision in cartooning was a beacon for 80's indies showing First was first in high quality!

BOOM! Wow, Felix! A fantastic piece to illustrate just how -good- Steve was right out of the box, right? #6?!? Such striking composition and graphic muscle; the lighting on that bottom panel pops your brain a bit (in the best possible way) after the stark and shadowed elements in that top panel. Such a smooth and assured artist; AWESOME piece! Congrats, Felix!

So good. What a spendid promo page! Even on this one page you can see hints of how fantastic Steve Rude's art was--The great composition, the perfect symmetry, the powerful use of light and shadow and the nicely spotted blacks. It's all there. Just a great pick-up, congrats!
