DescriptionA new painted cover for the reprinted story "First In", published January, 1969. This was just prior to Ian Kennedy becoming the primary Commando cover artist, replacing the departed Ken Barr. Unable to sign his work, he often included an initial on his painted aircraft, as he did here. The ratty copy of Air Ace that I've scanned was sent to me when I was nine or ten.Social/Sharing |

A real GREAT artist ! Not all are able to do very good covers and very good comics. Ian kennedy is a SPECIAL artist, I appreciate him in the TYBALD adventures. Probably he was also the author of Johnny Wingo in the 60's, but I'm not sure.

Man! Dont know much about these artists but I love this piece and the ferocity of its lighting. You can feel the inferno radiating from the surface! Congrats!
