Description

11.5 x 16 inch 2018 acrylic painting on illustration board. Several of my favourite Ian Kennedy Commando covers feature an aircraft illuminated on one side by moonlight and on the opposite side by fire. I asked Ian if he would do a picture of a Mosquito night fighter using that colour scheme and he responded with this painting of one putting paid to a Heinkel 111 above the flames of a British city. I was thrilled with the result and he felt that it was one of his best.
