DescriptionDavid Finch is one of the top notch creators in the comic industry. When I purchased this cover, I could tell that it was an early Finch, but I wasn't sure how early. It looks as though this is his very first published Cover. I believe it is also the first in the Ripclaw series. As a child of the 90's, we were all blessed by Wizard Magazine :) The Wizard 1/2 issues were always so interesting and cool. I'm glad that this cover checks that off my want list. Thanks to the great people that made this happen...you know who you are :) Social/Sharing |

Wow, a great looking AND historic piece! Finch’s first published?! Very cool. I like how you can see how the talent is clearly there but he’s still developing into what you know as his work today. And who didn’t love Wizard?! Congrats!

Finch has so much raw talent. I agree, you can see it even in his early stuff. Nice observation.

Really tight inks! I wonder how much the inker's contribution was this budding new talent (don't get me wrong, you know the fundamental talent is present in Finch's work!)

I'd be curious to see. Both Finch and Sowd are incredibly talented.

Wizard art is very nostalgic and Finch was always great. So good!

Wait--David Finch's FIRST published art? Wow! I mean, I can see that's early Finch. it still doesn't have the polished look David achieved later on, but still that's a pretty cool Wizard cover. I always enjoy seeing early pieces by the guys who went on to become masters of the medium. Great pick-up, congrats!
