(Not Enrique Breccia, but his father Alberto)

This page was published in Misterix #744, in Argentina, on Feb. 15, 1963.
Breccia's brushwork is simply unbelievable.
Just look where he was at graphically by comparison with the most interesting comics produced elsewhere at the same time (for instance,Amazing Spider-Man #2 or Strange Tales #108 in the USA, or Pilote #173, with the debut pages of "Asterix and the Banquet", in France).

I know you're pulling my leg�you know very well I would never bad-mouth Steve D. if my life depended on it. I'm just saying Alberto Breccia was light-years ahead of what was going on in the US and Europe already in 1963. Even the Hugo Pratt of 1963 could not withstand comparison with Breccia.

This series was an absolute peak in Breccia career, which means something... Congrats on a wonderful addition!

Amazing page from my favourite MC chapter, every page instill me strange and perturbing feelings. He start to use the razor blade here, only 3 pages before yours. Breccia is in the ninth art olympus. Here, his legacy.
