This is the Original Cover Artwork for ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #9 (March 2014); digitally penciled and hand inked by Dan Panosian. This story was first published online in 2013 (in 3 parts) in DCEntertainment.com's "outside DC continuity" ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN Digital comic book.

This poignant story is an homage to the famous novel "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes (filmed as "Charly" in 1968).

Superman - created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Bizarro - created by Otto Binder and George Papp.

Great cover !! "Flowers for Algernon" is one of my favorite stories ever, I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it, and what a great idea to apply it to poor ol' Bizarro!

Thanks so much for the kind words, Fred! I am glad the story affected you so much. It's one of my favorite things I've written. Interior artist Eduardo Francisco was kind enough to gift me some pages. This cover is wonderful, and I loved Dan's word balloon for Bizarro, "You're welcome!" which was all his idea. I'm glad this found its way to you and hope you enjoy it for years to come!
