At the time, Mystery In Space was too weird for me....I loved SUPERHEROES! Later I discovered the charm of Adam Strange and his love-lost other-world challenge. HOOKED! It was such a clever story hook. And DC would sprinkle him into other stories JUST ENOUGH to leave me wanting more.

So now, here it is years later and I've been fortunate to pick up a page of the 1965 Issue 100 book featuring Adam Strange. Granted he doesn't have on his helmet, but WHO CARES?!?!?!?

BUT WAIT...there's MORE! The art was done by Lee Elias. If you aren't familiar, Mr. Elias started working in comics is 1943 and moved to DC in 1946. He helped invent the Flash foe "The Fiddler" and GL foe "Star Sapphire". Then in the 60's he helped create Eclipso. It seems like he was mostly known for his work on the BLACK CAT series. Although he wasn't a giant in the field, the guy made his long-time living creating images the fed the imaginations of generations of people.

It blows my mind that I was able to add this piece to my collection.
