DescriptionA beautiful Savage Sword of Conan page by the great John Buscema, with inks by Alfredo Alcala.I think this is one of the sexiest pages I own. Alcala looks great on a lot of artists, but this is exceptional. You get Conan shaving a guy's head with a sword on horseback, and then conducting forceful diplomacy with a rich dude in a palatial setting. Big John and Alfredo didn't take any shortcuts with this page, and it's one of my favorites. As a bonus, there are some pencil sketches on the back that weren't noticed for years. Ornate patterns and textures from Alcala add depth and illustrative sheen throughout the page. The Buscema driven staging is magnificent. The close up panel shows Conan's steely determination!

Hunter S Thompson would be proud. No guff taken from that swine! What a great Buscema/Alcala Conan page. That inking is top-notch. All those textures and strong light sources. Very nice score. Congrats!

Those lush, brush textures created by Alcala are simply sublime. On of my all-time favourite inkers. Fab page, Aaron!
