Description

Preliminary of the Simone Bianchi variant cover for Scorched #15, published by Image.

Spawn rises from the flames with his hands facing upward. The rebirth has just begun. The use of red penciling emphasizes the character giving a real anticipation of the final artwork.

The Scorched cover is one of four images chosen by Todd McFarlane for Image's February 2023 "Spotlight artist" project.

The prelim was also displayed at the CArt Gallery in Rome's "The Devil in the Details: Spawn by Simone Bianchi" exhibition in 2023.

It really does help to view this on a large screen or in person to truly connect with the depth and emotion. Looking on a mobile or even the comic doesn't do it justice.

18.5" x 12.5" on a firm art board.

Bianchi's genius on display. His overseas audience would appreciate the power of the human emotion even under all the comic book costuming.
