DescriptionMs. Marvel 20 is one of my favourite comics drawn by the great Dave Cockrum. First of all, the issue introduced Ms. Marvel's iconic black uniform. I can see why Marvel decided to upgrade the uniform recently to a more modern look. Yet, the black costume is sleek and elegant. IMHO, it is one of the coolest vintage Marvel female uniforms, together with Phoenix, Storm and Moonstone (last one courtesy of nerd me).The other reason I like this issue are Wiacek's beautiful inks, providing depth and texture to Cockrum's dynamic pencils and layouts. This page is a great example of well balanced interior page, with a mix of close-ups and full figure panels. The only weakness...villains are a bit lame. Oh well.. Icing on the cake a fantastic, large drawing on the back. I am suggested it's Dejah Thoris, but I am not familiar with the character, so any confirmation would be welcome (edit - confirmation received, thanks Miki!). When he signed the page on the front side, Dave wrote: "To Mike - the other side's better!". Nice! Finally, huge thanks to CAF Live seller Kevin Townson, who was simply fantastic to work with. Wiacek was a GREAT inker on Cockrum, and this issue in particular stands out!

Interesting that Dejah Thoris has the same little costume ornament sitting in her cleavage that Polaris did as well.

Great page! Everything is perfect: pencils, inks and the character who is one of the most complex and multifaceted. I totally agree with Carlo about the uniform .

Carlo this has deep dark panels with beautiful facial images of Ms. Marvel and that second panel revealing her slender and hourglass figure,wow !
