Description

I know the painted covers are firmly ensconced in another collection (with magnificent framing to boot)

But I'm not upset to have to "settle" for these two prelims by Jim Starlin, done in watercolors on regular paper (around 8"x12").

You can see Starlin made some small changes when he migrated to the paintings, but these are still pretty spectacular images (albeit smaller in size).

Here, Thanos completes his collection of the Infinity Stones after defeating two more Elders of the Universe, The Runner and the Grandmaster, and after trading with The Collector.

Powerful designs to these tomes as they represent the workings of the Marvel Universe on the highest plane far beyond mortal superheroes.

Unbelievable prelims. A great piece from a historical Marvel period. I actually think the pink here contrasts better than the more red published version. So cool!
