In order to make sure I got one (I failed to grab an interior on the first drop) I went a bit crazy and requested 8 pages I think on this one. Thrilled to have been lucky enough to grab 2.

Savagely brutal page! This is a great climactic page with Optimus using his own arm to lay the smackdown! When DWJ draws onomatopoeia through the entire page, it's communicating story in a way more than what a separate writer and artist team would do.

ZWAP! ZWAP! BOOM! Killer Transformers page by the great Daniel Warren Johnson! Amazing scenes of Optimus Prime beating the crap out of Starscream! I love the way DWJ incorporates sound effects into his work.On the top, the "ZWAP ZWAP" is laid on top of the art and in the second and third panels the "BOOM" is placed behind the fighting robots, which pushes them forward! And then that final "BOOM" is painted in white over the art! DWJ is reinventing the way comics are drawn! And I love it! Great pick-up, congrats!
