Description

The second page of three sequential pages I own. This page has Garrison pulling out grenades and bombing The Borrower in dramatic fashion! Interestingly this page was specifically mentioned by DWJ on one of Felix�s podcasts (can�t recall the episode-one of the round tables he was on) as a page he really loved, but felt he couldn�t afford at the time. I�m sure he can now! Daniel if you�re reading this, I�ll take a Transformers cover in trade for this! 😂 Hit me up!

Epic action! A great heroic action sequence that is compact in setup and execution. Indeed, it does resemble what DWJ does in pacing and setting up a climactic page turn!

Love the storytelling as you move down! Got a great splashy shot o' Garrison, then a mini G at the bottom...all out Chasers action! Congrats!

Love this page from Battle Chaser by Joe Madureira! It's a beautiful example of visual storytelling at its best. It opens with a Medium shot of Garrison, cuts to a close up of his Grenades, puills back for a wide shot of Garrison flinging his Grenades at the Borrower, then cuts away for a wide shot of the people watching him, then cuts back to a wide shot of Garrison rappeling down the side of the Borrower. It's like the storyboard for a movie, with each scene carefully planned for maximum impact. Madureira is a master of it!
