Description

ECCC 2017. This beautiful masterpiece was drawn by Humberto Ramos. I was so lucky to get this sketch. I arrived early at the con to get a spot on his sketch list. I was told there were 10 spots on the list and I was the 14th person in line. As I was looking at the line I saw that some people ahead of me were couples and/or friends, so I thought I might make the list. Then I also thought not everyone is there for a sketch. Maybe just there for an autograph. I started to feel better about my chances! Then when Mr. Ramos arrived I watched the first person standing in line ask for 2 sketches on 2 blank sketch covers. Oh-no! I thought, "is that 2 spots on the list?" Sure enough it was. Now I'm thinking my chances are very slim. Well I finally get up to Mr. Ramos and I ask, "is your list still open?" Mr. Ramos' rep looks at me and then turns to the rest of the line and says, "just so everyone knows, the sketch list is closed". YES! I got on the list. I was so happy and then extremely floored when I saw the finished sketch.

Sincere cograts, Tommy! Getting a con commission from Ramos is not the easiest by any means! You got in just under the wire and the result is top notch. For all the Spider-man work that Ramos has done there’s not a ton of the Lizard so it’s always nice seeing his take. The colors really complete it!
