DescriptionI've always wanted a Byrne/Austin X-Men page, so I was thrilled to finally be able to get a great one. This is the culmination of the Days Of Future Past storyline, with Kitty throwing off Destiny's aim and changing the past. According to John Byrne, this page was also one of the nails in the coffin for the Claremont/Byrne team. Byrne would turn in the art and Claremont would script it. When Byrne saw the "kiss" caption in the last panel, he blew up, since it wasn't what he intended at all and changed the meaning of the story considerably. This set up decades of confusing storylines and retcons, but the original story is one of the all-time greatest comic stories and certainly one of my absolute favorites. This was groundbreaking when it came out, and I remember being completely enthralled by it when I read it the first time. Social/Sharing |
