DescriptionDue to a series of fortuitous circumstances I now own a Bill Everett page. This is from the last full issue Bill ever did pencil and inks on before he died. In fact as his health was failing and he was slowing down so Marvel had Sam Kweskin do the layouts.Ditko was always my big goal and Wally Wood was also a major artist whose work I wanted. To have a Ditko is was going to be inked by someone else. To own a Wood it was going to be his inks. Luckily I have a Thunder Agent page with both artist and a page by Ditko with another inker and two other Wally inked pages. While layout were by Kweskin this is all pure Everett, it is a shame he died too young (55). A friend saw this page as possible for sale by another collector and we worked out a deal. My compromise here was the page did not have Namor. It is a rare that I have any Marvel pages. Social/Sharing |

There are more pages with Subby than Tamara - the page I selected from this issue is no Subby and all Tamara - your page has some nice blackwater in it as well!

So regal and noble! The fine touch of a master graces each line! You can feel the difference in gravitas with each panel when Everett's presence is there.

That's a nice moody page, with some fabulous storytelling. Subby or not, all that Everett goodness would grace many a fine collection.
