E.R. Cruz just did a lot of great work as this page from 1981 shows. A little more violent then I usually buy, but too good of a page to pass up.

Fantastic Cruz page! The detail in those rich inks is superb, and I love the way he (and Rico Rival for that matter) used white areas almost as shadow - as on the lower leg of a character in the top panel. Great contrast.
