DescriptionThis was my single favorite comic as a kid. It absolutely knocked me out. I loved it so much, I wrote my first ever fan letter, which was published a couple of issues later! My biggest longtime collecting goal was to get a page from this issue. A couple of years ago, I took my beat up copy of the book to Louisville Galaxycon, for Ron Lim to sign. I mentioned that my dream was to own a page from the book. He said that he actually happened to have one. He'd found it in a stack of art a few days prior, and threw it into his portfolio. My jaw dropped! Couldn't believe I was finally getting a page, and directly from Ron himself! My wife actually got it for me, as an early 10th anniversary present. I wasn't allowed to have it until our anniversary in June. It was a long wait, but a few months later it was mine! Absolutely a treasure.Social/Sharing |

Congrats on getting such a meaningful page for you.
It's probably my own fav' issue of that second What If run (and I'm still kicking myself for not buying another page from that issue early in my collecting career ;)

Thanks, appreciate it! I was amazed that the page had lasted that long laying around Ron's studio, waiting decades to fall into my hands! It's definitely my favorite issue, it really did a number on me as a kid. I borrowed my friend's copy, read it, then had to have my own copy, which I still have!

Congrats! This was also one of my favorite single issues, and is an absolute killer page from the book. Awesome story behind getting it too.

Thanks Bill, much appreciated! I would have been happy with any page from this issue, but I was especially pleased to land such a nice one!

Wow. What luck, Brent! I'm in the same boat wanting a page from this issue. Maybe one day I can luck out, too. Congratulations!

Thanks Grant! Well I'd say this is proof that you shouldn't give up! I'd been looking for many, many years, and finally, voila, there it was! Good luck in the hunt!
