Wow, what a super Kubert war page! That middle panel is nothing to sneeze at either. I could stare at this page for a while. Big congrats Steve!

Rock's portrait in the 4th panel is one of the best I have ever seen. I don't think most collectors realize how great the art was in these DC war books.

Great page! Where do I start? The iconic panel of Rock? The layout of the page which is stunning? Even the subtle way the helmet on the rifle is in the background, yet still powerfully present...this is a nice example of why Kubert was a great illustrator and storyteller.

Prime page and twice up too. The panel layouts and the use of blacks is so well thought out here. Of course the portrait steals the show but i like the open, no borders middle panel a lot too. Kubert was so good for so long but for me the 60's is my favorite period and war is my favorite genre for his work.
