Description

I was at the 93 Philly Comic Con. It was late in the day, and I was on my way out. I was trying to get thru an aisle that was jammed with people trying to get to John Romita Jr. He was signing books, and it was a mob scene. As I got thru the crowd, I saw his dad. He was standing off to the side, with a grin on his face, watching the mob scene. Either no one recognized him, or the cult status of his son at the time blinded everyone. I walked up and chatted with him. He was not there as an artist, but as a Marvel exec. He was not interested in doing a commission, but after a few minutes, he said he'd give me a quick bust. It took him no more than 10 minutes to whip this out. A great guy and one of my treasures.

This man probably is the most generous human being in his affection for the fans. Love the heart he showed to do this for you.
