Description

Mr Russell was working on a design for new merchandise for DC at the time, and this was one of his experiments with where he was going. Ultimately, this concept would be turned into a t-shirt and the Sandman statue that was released by DC.

This was the first sketch of the show. When he took out his sketch pad, there was no paper left. This was done on the sketch pad cover.
