A great piece, Pope is perfect for this. I have never read LWC. However I did take advantage of this last comixology sale so it's in the ever increasing read pile ;)

Definitely one of his best images.  The victor, contemplating, amongst the slain defeated.  So indicative of the Lone Wolf and Cub as a single image.  Also so much great detailing from corner to corner.  BIG congrats, bud!

Absolutely stunning.  The Road of Meifumado, literally, and Itto's place on it - paved with the bodies of those who ultimately fueled his journey.  His back is turned to every viewer - he's left us and any earthly concern of safety, hope, or a future behind, without a backwards glance, even dragging his son with him into the maw of vengeance and honor.  The entire essence of 'Lone Wolf and Cub' in one single image.  Chilling.  Tragic.  Glorious.
