DescriptionA4 Board (8.25 x 11.75)Sometimes you just love an artist and a piece of work and every once in a while others do too! Picked this piece up from Cam at Inky during the CAF Live event last year as a beautiful unpublished illustration done by one of my favorite current artists. Recently, it was announced that this piece would be a variant cover for Swamp Thing representing AAPI Heritage month. Anand is just an amazing illustrator that has brought some fine art sensibilities to the comic medium. He's already won an Eisner for his work on Blue in Green but I feel his artistry most shines in his pen and ink line work. His style is hard to describe. It's both loose and tight. Detailed but abstract. I'm glad he's found a great creative partnership with Ram V and will continue to add his work to the collection as long as he's creating. His current work is Radio Apocalypse from Vault Comics and it's another visual masterpiece. Social/Sharing |

Wow, exquisite. I'll have to look into this artist. "Ethereal" is a word that comes to mind. There's a slow movement and energy to it, and the pure illustration is outstanding. Congrats, Jason!

This cover is a real banger, Jason. I've just started getting into Anand's art. Unfortunately, all the best Blue in Green pages are spoken for but Anand looks like he's going to have a long career.

Anand RK never does anything boring. One of the more imaginative voices working in comics today and this is such a great example of his skills. What a talent and what an awesome get!

It looks like this dissection reveals that underneath, he is the sum of people, experiences, and some divine magic that keeps them from flying off into the ether.

Such an imaginative cover! Unique but just as evocative as Perkins's imagery for the series

So much to see and digest in this piece. Love the details. I can't imagine trying to come up with a composition like this. In admiration of the talent here.

A wicked cool way to visualize the transformation from Levi Kamei into The Swamp Thing!
