DescriptionGuys/Gals..Wow I love this Page..To have a prime Full bodied Byrne drawn Galactus with the flamin’ beautiful Nova my cosmic goodness, Here’s what’s so special about this page to me..When I was a kid and I used to read the Handbook of the marvel universe that would have each character stats and their origins it would also show some images from comics related to the characters. And I distinctly remember how under Nova’s page this page was shown to depict her relationship to Galactus as a herald. I remember seeing that image and going wow look at Galactus, how he looks, the image so awesome power cosmic and regal and Nova fiery beautiful, And the artistic style..Yea so this is where I first saw this image then I went out and got the comic to read and ofc follow up and read all the FF books Byrne drew and any time he did a Galactus story I was transfixed..So yea to get this page simply an awesome thing (and it’s a twice up page to boot) and so from a 12 yr old boy being in awe of the art and the image to owning the actual original piece as a man..Now that is the Power Cosmic !Social/Sharing |

So much to love! The final panel is epic, but the panels leading up to it are equally worth studying. love the setting and the scale of it all. Congrats!!

Hey gang -
Marvel special projects editor Cory Sedlmeier is working on the next FF Masterworks featuring John Byrne's run. As ever, the Masterworks pull out all the stops to achieve the best possible restoration of Marvel's classics.
He's scored the complete original art to FF #255 and a number of other pages. They will look better than it ever before, including the original comicbook printings, but there are more pages to be found. He's on the hunt for original art scans for FANTASTIC FOUR #256-257 and ANNUAL #17.
What I'm looking for are 600dpi color scans at full-size saved in .TIF format. These issues were done at huge twice-up size, so scanning the pages in two sections (or even three passes--one for each tier of panels--with a little overlap) will be necessary.
