Description18.5" X 11" by Jack Faragasso. Oil on board, circa 1973. Published cover painting for the science fiction book "The Death Master" by Benjamin Appel(Popular Library, 1974).Out of all of Jack's many sci-fi cover paintings, this is my all-time favorite. I thought it was by Paul Lehr when I first saw it. It has such a creepy appearance that fits well with the theme of the story. Another fantastic painting from my dear friend Jack Faragasso who has such amazing and diverse talent as a true accomplished master painter. For 50 years, Jack held on to only a handful of his finished science fiction book cover paintings, cherishing those that he felt most special to him. At 92 years of age, he felt it was time to finally give someone else the pleasure to own them. Jack has been such a blessing to me, and a profound inspiration in my own artistic endeavors. I feel truly fortunate to be the custodian of several of these "most beloved works" for the next 50 years. Thank you, Jack! Social/Sharing |

Fabulous cover, you're right. Maybe the best by Jack i've ever seen.
