Description

In my quest for bronze-age greatness, i was lucky enough to stumble into the legendary Frank Brunner. Frank is one of the kings of Marvel’s counter-culture books of the 70s.

Frank created this epic meeting between Dr Strange and Mephisto. As Strange is ‘porting through dimensions, he gets detoured by the crafty demon himself. Frank titled this “Strange Encounter”. I’m a huge fan, and incredibly thankful to Frank!

Brunner is one of those artists that you just don't need ink. I love the choice to have Dr Strange popping out of a portal, right in front of Mephisto. It gives depth and dimension to the piece, which is subtly brilliant. Gorgeous work! Congrats!

This one is special. Brunner is a legend who stands out from the crowd. These two have faced off in Marvel lore so this enchanting, dark battle goes on the top shelf.
